“My art attempts to depict the smaller natural wonders that may be overlooked, rather than the large panoramic views of the area.
My work varies in style, in that I adapt to the medium, for example a strong design factor when I’m working on my handprinted tiles, lino prints, woodcuts or ceramics. On my more delicate watercolours, I try to use the medium to it’s maximum advantage.
I also like to experiment by incorporating parts of one discipline in another – from the ceramics to the acrylic and watercolour paintings, from the designs to the more intricate studies, and then fuse them all together.” – Dennis Roddam
