Saltburn Bandstand

Saltburn was once home to three bandstands, one at the pier head, which lost to bad weather, one in the valley beside the beck, bombed and destroyed during the Second World War, and one at Hazelgrove, which fell to neglect and disrepair.
The residents of Saltburn wanted a bandstand back in the area, so with massive help from the Saltburn 500 Club, they fought a long campaign to have a bandstand reinstated in the Town. In 1995 they finally managed to get funding from the Arts Council of England of £63,500 to bring back the glory days of the bandstand.
Since then it hosts a variety of concerts, usually on a Sunday during the warmer months.

Folk Club in Saltburn
As the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic are finally being lifted we are delighted to be able to recommence the Sunday afternoon singarounds at the Woodland Centre in Saltburn Valley Gardens. These will take place fortnightly between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm from Sunday June 6th until the end of September. This will be an official Saltburn Folk Club meeting so normal attendance fees will apply. Donations to the Woodland Centre will also be gratefully accepted.
Indoor meetings will recommence on Monday July 26th at our new venue, Signals, and will continue fortnightly. As a number of regular members are still uncomfortable with meeting indoors Zoom sessions will also continue until further notice.
